How can I better understand the various types of exercise focuses?

Precision

The Valedo exercises will continually challenge you to move your trunk or hips using fine, controlled movements as you follow a specific path or match exact movements, for example. Such movements train and strengthen often underused muscles and help to improve your movement awareness.

Isolated Precision

Move your trunk while keeping the hips stable (and vice versa).

Stabilization

Hold your trunk or hips in a position for a longer period to train core stability.

Isolated Stabilization

Keep your trunk position for a longer period to train core stability while keeping the hips stable (and vice versa).
