Valedo is like having the patient take a physical therapist home with them

Valedo is like having the patient take a physical therapist home with them.

I have been practicing 18 years in the field of physical therapy and I have owned and operated a private practice setting for 8 years now, and have grown to 6 office locations. We are located in 2 private practice offices, 2 private practice offices with chiropractors and acupuncturists, and 2 large family gyms with aquatic intervention, variable resistance machinery and free weights.

Valedo is like having the patient take a physical therapist home with them.

I have also worked with many well known Boston area physicians on intensive progressive back programs.

As a physiotherapist, I experience on a daily basis that exercise regimen compliance with patients is challenging. Valedo opens doors to all patients that want to achieve a healthier, better functioning back. Many back patients that have sitting jobs at a computer can benefit from attaching Valedo and exercising during their lunch break or on the go with their tablets.

The effectiveness of Valedo to precisely cue the patients for proper muscle activation and then precisely correct the movements with excellent feedback and instructions is superb. It is easy to get started and allows my patients a sense of control and "know how" to use the system and navigate through it. Additionally, the progression from simple movements to more complex and combining motions is staged just right introducing true functional movements without the fear of “I may hurt myself doing this”.

And it really works!

Talking about fear, my patients were never afraid of doing their exercises wrong. The software provides real time immediate feedback and warnings of incorrect movements which is an excellent learning tool. My patients were able to often correct themselves without cues from me and they are able to continue their success and safe training at home, achieve goals for strength, endurance and motion.

And it really works! My patients and I felt a relatively immediate response from using Valedo. The patients’ pain was decreased and quickly did not become a focal point. The concept of fear and avoidance disappeared. Fear and Avoidance can be a great barrier to a patient with chronic back pain. A patient with fear and avoidance behaviors from chronic low back pain would be very apprehensive and may choose not to participate if asked to lift a 25 lb plate to perform deadlifts with traditional back physical therapy. With Valedo, this was not the case instead the patient became willingly engaged.

My overall opinion of Valedo is that this is a true and meaningful device that could help patients to better their backs and wellness.

Last but not least, another striking element for me as a therapist was the instructional stretches provided to the user after completion of the activities. These stretches were targeted to the correct muscle groups and would be beneficial for patients to stretch after utilize these muscles. The incorporation of strengthening, endurance and stretching into the program is a great feature.

My overall opinion of Valedo is that this is a true and meaningful device that could help patients to better their backs and wellness.

Valedo really opens a new opportunity and way for therapist and patients to achieve results.Basically, Valedo is like having the patient take a physical therapist home with them.
