  4. Use of Cookies

Our Website uses session cookies and permanent cookies to collect and save certain types of data. A cookie is a small file that the Website sends to your computer and that is stored on your computer's hard drive. When you pull up our Website, the cookies that were saved on your computer send information to the party that placed the cookie. Session cookies are necessary to ensure, for example, that you remain logged in while visiting our Website. These cookies are removed from your computer when you close the browser. Permanent cookies remain on your computer after you close the browser, but you can delete them at any time via your browser settings. To learn more about how cookies work, please visit: www.allaboutcookies.org.

Our Website uses session cookies to store the selected products in the shopping cart and to ensure that you stay logged in during your session if you logged in on the Website as a registered user. Session cookies store the relevant information together with your IP address and cookie ID. Session cookies are business-related cookies and are necessary in order for the Website to function properly.

Our Website may also use permanent cookies to remember your login information so you don't have to re-enter this information whenever you visit the Website. This function is only activated if you put a check mark in the check box below the login window that advises you of this function.

  5. Third-party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies.

Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Website are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers and application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioural) advertising or other targeted content.

We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

  6. Google Analytics

This Website uses Google Analytics, a Google Inc. (“Google”) web analysis service. Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files that are stored on the users' computers and enable Website use analysis. The information generated by the cookie regarding the use of this Website is usually transmitted to a Google server located in the U.S. and stored there. Google uses this information on behalf of this Website's operator to analyse the Website's use by the users, to generate reports on the Website activities and to provide additional services to the Website operator in connection with the Website usage and Internet usage. You may prevent cookies from being saved on your computer by activating a respective setting in your browser software. This option, however, advises users that doing so will prevent them from being able to use all functions of this Website. Users may also prevent the collection and processing of data by Google in relation to their use of the Website (incl. their IP address) generated by the cookie by downloading and installing the browser plugin found under the link below. The current link is:

  7. Facebook Social Plugins

This offering uses social plugins ("plugins") from the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). These plugins are recognizable by their Facebook logo (white “f” on a blue background or a “thumbs up” symbol) or labelled “Facebook social plugin”. The list and appearance of Facebook social plugins is available here: “https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/”.

If you pull up a Website that contains such a plugin, your browser will establish a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. Facebook transmits the plugin content directly to your browser, and then your browser integrates it into the Website. Hocoma, therefore, has no influence over the scope of the data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and thus informs users only with respect to its own level of knowledge. By integrating plugins, Facebook obtains the information that you have queried on the respective page of our Website. If you are logged in on Facebook, then Facebook is able to assign the visit to your Facebook account. When you interact with the plugins, for example, by clicking the 'like' button or by posting a comment, your browser transmits the respective information directly to Facebook where it is stored. Facebook may still be able to find out your IP address and store it even if you are not a Facebook member.

The purpose and scope of the data collection as well as the further processing and use of the data by Facebook including associated rights and configuration options regarding privacy protection can be found in Facebook's data privacy policy: “https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.”

If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect data about you with respect to Hocoma’s product offerings, you must log out of Facebook before you visit the Website. You can also block Facebook social plugins with browser add-ons such as the “Facebook Blocker”.

  8. Your Rights

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Website and visiting your account profile page. You may also send us an e-mail at support@valedotherapy.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

  9. Other Websites

Please note that other Websites (in particular those that are linked to our Website, e.g., by hyperlink) may also collect data about you. Our Policy does not apply to such external Websites.

  10. Your California Privacy Rights.

Data Privacy Policy – Valedo Application

Hocoma, Inc. (“Hocoma”) greatly values the trust our customers have in us. To earn your trust, we respect your privacy when we handle any personal data associated with using the Valedo App (the “App”). This data privacy policy (“Policy”) describes who is responsible for collecting, processing and using the personal data that we collect from you, which types of personal data we collect, what we do with this data, and what rights you have with respect to us using this data

This Policy describes:

  • The types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you download, install, register with, access or use the App; or
  • Our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information.

This Policy applies only to information we collect in this App and in e-mail, text and other electronic communications sent through this App.

This Policy does not apply to information collected by:

  • Us offline or on any other Company apps or websites, including websites you may access through this App; or
  • Any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries), including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from the App.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use the App. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the App after we make changes is deemed acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates

  1. Types of Data We Collect

When you download, register with or use this App, we may ask you provide information:

    • By which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline ("personal information").
    • That is about you but individually does not identify you.

    This information includes:

    • Information that you provide by filling in forms in the App. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the App. We may also ask you for information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us, and when you report a problem with the App.
    • Records and copies of your correspondence (including e-mail addresses and phone numbers), if you contact us.
    • Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.

When you download, access and use the App, it may use technology to automatically collect:

    • Usage Details. When you access and use the App, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the App, including traffic data, location data, logs and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the App.
    • Device Information. We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device's unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, mobile network information and the device's telephone number.
    • Stored Information and Files. The App also may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device. This may include, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts and address book information.
    • Location Information. This App does not collect real-time information about the location of your device; it only sends, after a time lag, the name of the country where the App is being used.

If you do not want us to collect this information, do not download the App or delete it from your device.

  2. Automatic Information Collection and Tracking Technologies

The technologies we use for automatic information collection may include:

    • Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your smartphone. It may be possible to refuse to accept mobile cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your smartphone. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our App.
    • The App contains an application named “Flurry Analytics” (http://www.flurry.com/). This application specifically collects, processes and/or uses the following data: Application version, platform, SDK version, time stamp, API key (app ID), app version, device ID, iOS ID for advertising, iOS ID for seller, Media Access Control (MAC) address, international mobile equipment identity (IMEI), model, manufacturer and operating system version of the device, start and end of the application, operating time of the device, location (specific location that uses a specific language), mobile network code, mobile country code, time zone, network status (Wi-Fi etc.), storage, hard drive, CPU, and information regarding battery use. Flurry executes a hash function with respect to the iOS device ID, MAC address and IMEI, but not with respect to the platform device ID such as the iOS ID for advertising, Android_ID and Blackberry PIN. The hash function converts these IDs into a value or key that replaces the original ID. This device ID (if available), IMEI (if available), MAC address (if available) and platform are converted to a Flurry ID. It is possible to identify the user's device based on this data or a combination of this data.

The App’s user data is only stored on the user's device. User data is not transmitted to a central location such as Hocoma. Therefore, the data generated by the user and/or the data with respect to the user's performance and results in the game are only stored on the user device.

  3. Disclosure of Personal Data

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual or device, without restriction.  In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide:

    • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
    • To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
    • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of Hocoma’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Hocoma about our App users is among the assets transferred.
    • To third parties to market their products or services to you if you have consented to these disclosures.
    • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
    • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
    • With your consent.
    • To comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
    • To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including the App EULA, terms of sale and for billing and collection.
    • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hocoma, our customers or others.
  4. Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of our App that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an e-mail to support@valedotherapy.com or write us at: Hocoma, Inc., 77 Accord Park Dr., Suite D-1, Norwell, MA 02061.

  5. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will post the new privacy policy on this page and notify you by e-mail and/or text message to the primary e-mail address and/or phone number specified in your account.  We may also notify you via an in-App alert the first time you use the App after we make the change.
The date this Policy was last revised is identified at the bottom of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable e-mail address and/or phone number for you and for periodically visiting this Policy to check for any changes.

If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at support@valedotherapy.com.
